{Santa Barbara Family Photographer} Watching Them Grow

This beautiful Santa Barbara family were actually my first yes first photo session after starting my business one year ago, almost to the date, so they will always hold such a special place in my heart :-). It is a wonderful pleasure seeing children grow and change, one of the parts of this job I love the most. This cutie has gone from a chubby cheeked toddler to such a handsome, sweet boy, I know his lovely Mom and Dad have raised him well ;-)

Please show this amazing family a whole bunch of BLOG LOVE to win them print credits! (pretty please, don’t be shy)

{Santa Barbara Family Photographer} Pretty in Pink

Oh I just love what I do… I have been blessed with the most awesome beautiful clients and their children and this family is definitely no exception. I have to admit I was SO excited to have a little girl to shoot, I mean I heart my boys, but this sweet cherub in pink is just what the Dr. ordered ;-) And this session marks a Z’s the Day first, that would be a family including the “furry” member, their firstborn Charlie :-)

Leave this family a bit of BLOG LOVE to win them some print credits!

Orange is the Happiest Color {I Heart Faces}

Orange is the color of many delicious fruits, Summer sunshine, Creamsicles, Fall leaves, and a multitude of beautiful flowers. How can you go wrong? :-) This week over at I Heart Faces the theme is Orange, and nothing says happiness like a cute little boy in a field of marigolds….. Be sure to check out the other “Orange” entries this week!

{Santa Ynez Child Photographer} Take a Chance

Oh what a difference a year makes! This little cutie wanted nothing to do with nothing to do with me or my big camera last year for his holiday photos. But this time around, he wanted nothing to do with his mama, and everything to do with me, what a lucky break ;-) We covered so many cool hidden spots while shooting in the gorgeous Santa Ynez Valley, special thanks to Kalyra Winery for giving us permission to stroll on their beautiful land, I think the “thinking chair” was made to be in a big field of grapes, yes?? :-)

Give this big guy some BLOG LOVE, every comment gets his Mama a print credit! XOXOXO

{Santa Barbara Photography} I Heart Halloween

This is such a special Halloween photo to me. Anyone who knows me I’m sure has heard about my wonderful spirited son, Z. Last Halloween he had just started preschool weeks before, hadn’t really had a chance to build friendships, and wanted no part of wearing his costume (thought Halloween costumes were “scary”). We took him to the Fall Festival at his school and it was just the saddest thing, he sat on the grass and cried because he was too shy to participate in the activities :-(

This is the photo from this year, which just fills my heart with joy, not just seeing him in a new school, with his friends, singing his heart out, but in a very “Ziah-fied” costume that he picked out himself, which we all find so fitting (he’s the noodle head in the center) :-)
This week on I Heart Faces is a non-competition week, where we are supposed to simply share our favorite Fall memories, and this will definitely go down as just that.

Also sharing some images from our little Halloween neighborhood walk this weekend :-)

Have a happy, safe Halloween!
