{Extended Family Photo Session} Lucky 13

What a fun session I have to share with you! Members from this big family came from all over including New York and Colorado for Thanksgiving so they decided to throw in a photo session in their hometown of Santa Barbara, and I’m glad they did- it was a blast capturing all the personalities of this group :-) And even in the midst of Winter, the Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens was as beautiful as always, a perfect backdrop for this lovely family!

{Santa Barbara Maternity Photographer} A Sweet Surprise

This family of three-to-be wanted to include their two original “babies” in their maternity session and it couldn’t have been more fun! We had a perfect Fall sunset at the beautiful Carpinteria beach and Moose and Willy had a blast running and playing in the surf. They are waiting to find out the sex of this little bundle of joy, so I can’t wait for their newborn session after Christmas to find out! ;-) Thank you Kim and Tim for the wonderful afternoon!

{Holiday Family Photos} On the Farm with the S Family

Another amazing afternoon on the blueberry farm for a holiday session! Not only was this family adorable- do the outfits get any better!?? Perfection! Mom is so crafty, making her own crochet props, it’s no wonder her darling kids were adorned with the best duds for a family photo session, right down to the handmade felt flower in little K’s hair. Thank you S family for a fun afternoon on the ranch! :-)

{Santa Barbara Park and Beach Photo Session} Little Mr. D

So happy to share some tidbits from this session- I wanted to put this little peanut in my camera bag and sneak him home, he was just full of cuteness! His Mom and Dad had requested some photos at both a park and a beach setting, and with Summer in full swing I was happy to oblige. Part one took place at one of my favorite childhood parks (and just happened to be where they got married! how perfect is that?), and part two at our gorgeous Santa Barbara seaside. And little D was a champ the whole way through, never complained once, just kept flashing that toothless grin. :-)

{Santa Barbara Courthouse Elopement Photos} I Do

I’m so excited to share the beautiful elopement of this lovely couple from Seattle. When I asked why they came all the way to Santa Barbara to elope, they told me our courthouse is one of the most famous courthouses in the U.S.- really? I have lived here for almost 38 years and did not even know that! Well they wanted to incorporate a very “Santa Barbara” location for their pre-ceremony portraits so I knew the gorgeous Mission would be a great spot, full of warm rich colors, textures and architectural elements. It was followed by a heartfelt short ceremony and a few more photos in and around the courthouse. It is only fitting that this sweet couple has such a romantic trip and elopement in Santa Barbara, they have the best “love story” (which I am not going to tell, but they know) ;-)
