What a fantastic Santa Barbara family with such a great bond and sense of humor. Loved everything about this session- the beautiful home they built together, their great style and laid back attitudes, the natural smiles that really showed their love and happiness, how can you go wrong with all that goodness?? The outtakes and moments shared between clicks were just as priceless as the posed ones. With their youngest son going away to college (to become a doctor!), the oldest into the military, and baby girl starting high school, I hope they cherish these times. One of my favorite lifestyle sessions ever! Thank you “D” family for such a fun afternoon. XOXOX

{Santa Barbara Outdoor Photography} Beach Baby
I first photographed this little family when “T” was an itty bitty thing, just days old. Look at him now, about to turn one and running all over the place, amazing how fast the time passes once you have a child. I really wanted this to be a fun session to celebrate such a big milestone and also give this sweet little family some great memories of their trip, since they were back visiting Santa Barbara from up north, where they now live. We covered lots of ground during this session, from balloons in the woods, to the Ellwood Bluffs, and a visit to the tide-pools for a gorgeous sunset. You can certainly see how “T” has a love for the beach and the water, attempting to go in even though it was probably 40 degrees :-) Thank you so much for the fun afternoon!

{Santa Barbara Portrait Photography} Thank You 2011
Goodness, to be honest I got extremely teary looking over images for this post. I know it’s cliche to say but I feel so blessed to have captured the faces of all my wonderful clients in the past year. My business really took off in 2011 and I have all of you to thank, I couldn’t have done it without you. I had such a blast getting to know you, hearing your stories, and for many- watching your children grow and change. {Santa Barbara Family Photographer} All Together Again
This fun family reunited in Santa Barbara for the holidays and I was so happy they decided to have me do an extended family photo session for them! The hotel they were staying at was so beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the weather was perfect. I loved all the different personalities in this bunch, they were super sweet and funny, made my job easy :-) And the love they all have for little J certainly shows, he was the star of the show! Thank you H family for the wonderful morning!

{Newborn Lifestyle Photographer} It’s a Girl
You may remember the maternity session I did a while back in November, where I mentioned it was a surprise what sex the baby would be- it’s a girl! Not only my first newborn girl, but my final session of 2011. And I couldn’t have asked for a more fun lifestyle session to end the year with, sweet little E seriously couldn’t have been more perfectly content, even smiling for the camera several times- maybe because she was thinking of how many times she pooped and peed on Mom and Dad in those three hours… Kim and Tim, I’m hoping the stained garments/blankets/sheets/kitchen counter were worth it ;-)
