{Extended Family Photo Session} Lucky 13

What a fun session I have to share with you! Members from this big family came from all over including New York and Colorado for Thanksgiving so they decided to throw in a photo session in their hometown of Santa Barbara, and I’m glad they did- it was a blast capturing all the personalities of this group :-) And even in the midst of Winter, the Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens was as beautiful as always, a perfect backdrop for this lovely family!

{Santa Barbara Maternity Photographer} A Sweet Surprise

This family of three-to-be wanted to include their two original “babies” in their maternity session and it couldn’t have been more fun! We had a perfect Fall sunset at the beautiful Carpinteria beach and Moose and Willy had a blast running and playing in the surf. They are waiting to find out the sex of this little bundle of joy, so I can’t wait for their newborn session after Christmas to find out! ;-) Thank you Kim and Tim for the wonderful afternoon!

The annual walk to collect Fall leaves for the Thanksgiving table. How blessed I am to have so many things to be thankful about on that short walk. Happy Thanksgiving to my friends, family, clients and followers. XOXOXOX

{Holiday Family Photos} On the Farm with the S Family

Another amazing afternoon on the blueberry farm for a holiday session! Not only was this family adorable- do the outfits get any better!?? Perfection! Mom is so crafty, making her own crochet props, it’s no wonder her darling kids were adorned with the best duds for a family photo session, right down to the handmade felt flower in little K’s hair. Thank you S family for a fun afternoon on the ranch! :-)

Ahhhh, Santa Barbara just seems to have a plethora of gorgeous families for me to be lucky enough to photograph this year! The Mommy in this sweet fam of four is a blogger herself- she writes a wonderful food blog called The Yummy Mummy, you really must click over and check it out- a feast for the eyes as well as the tummy, even her Pumpkin Macarons were just featured on the Martha Stewart show! how cool is that?!
I just love when clients want to have their session in their own home, it’s a perfect opportunity to not only to be somewhere that is totally you- the little ones always seem to be much more comfortable in surroundings they are familiar with. These two cuties had the most beautiful chicken filled yard (with perfect light as well ;-)) where they were able to run and play. Thank you D Family for the fun afternoon! XOXOX
