There’s just something about that glow from a brand new Mom-to-be, anxiously awaiting the arrival of the little person that will change their life forever. I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous baby shower this weekend for one pretty Mama I seriously think her amazing girlfriend starting planning this thing when Mrs. B got married! lol It was fabulously styled with inspiration colors from baby’s (shhhh, the name is a surprise!) nursery, right down to the tangerine and aqua M&M’s! my kind of party Can’t wait for this little one’s newborn session!

{Santa Barbara Child Photographer} Smirk {I Heart Faces}

When I saw that this weeks theme was “Smirk” over at I Heart Faces, I knew immediately what photo I would be using. This November marks Z’s the Day Photography’s One Year Anniversary, and it has been such a fun, photographic journey for me- this shot was from my second paid photo session ever, and while it took a little work to get this little angel to warm up to me, it wasn’t long before her inner diva came out and boy, after that she gave me some great shots, this one being my favorite. You really can’t get a better “smirk” than this lol. Now I look forward to photographing her again this year, with her beautiful Mama, Daddy, and baby brother (or sister!)
